The base can be used as a cake board, or you can place your own cakeboard on the base. 
The base is approximatly 1/2 " thick, please keep that into consideration when placing your cake in the box as that will take from the total height of the box. 
Our boxes are made from Paperboard and PET Plastic and easily recyclable.
 
The sides of the cake boxes are covered with protective film to prevent dust and scratches, please remeber to peel the film before using to showcase the cyrstal clear appearness of our boxes!
